Just submitted my app for UPitt last week and applying to JMU for regular decision. Applying as an international because I'm not a citizen of the US and not a permanent resident. I, however, attended school in the U.S. since 1st grade.

-Major: Marketing-business
-Live in Virginia

My stats:
-Weighted GPA (my school does not do unweighted): 3.66 (freshman-junior year)
**I got a C in AP AB Calc junior year and that has been bugging me.
-ACT: 26
-SAT: 1830
-Toefl: 108
-E.C's
-Good Recs

I’m also applying to American, PSU, GWU, and GMU

hihello 100, my son (now a junior at JMU) got into JMU RD with a 3.6 weighted gpa, 8 AP classes, and the same SAT as you are posting. He had two C’s on his report card but all the rest were A’s and B’s. He got A’s in some key AP classes, which I think helped. He also had an upward trajectory in his gpa – did a little better each year of high school, with his best grades during senior year, so make sure you get as high grades as possible for that mid-senior year report that goes out as your “final” gpa for admissions purposes. Getting a C in AP Calc won’t hurt you much, because they recognize it’s a tough class that many students avoid (they even say somewhere on their admissions blog that they give extra consideration to students who take AP Calc, any level). You also took it junior year, which shows you’re smart, and it’s even tougher to take it as a junior than as a senior, because you’re younger and perhaps a bit less mature. I think they will reward you for going for the tough course, and as long as you’ve taken a few other AP level classes, too, you should be fine.
