Chance Me: USC and UCLA

I'm currently a senior in high school in Tennessee. USC has always been my dream school! It would be great if some of you could chance me about getting in! I plan on applying to the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Science. I'm also applying to UCLA

GPA: 3.96
Weighted GPA: 4.50
ACT: 29 (I know that is a very low score. Because of my own procrastination I've only taken the ACT once. I'm definitely taking it again (and more seriously) in Oct. and possibly again after that to bump my score to at least a 30 or 31)
SAT: Haven't taken (Not very many people take it from my school and city. Should I take it anyways?)
5 AP's: U.S. History, U.S. Government/Politics, English Lit, English Lang/Comp, Euro
IB's: Full Diploma Candidate (U.S. History HL, Spanish SL, Chemistry HL, English SL, Math Studies SL, Art HL
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: African American

EC's:
Varsity Track
Club Basketball
Club Lacrosse
Former Key CLub Secretary, current President
Former Historian for National Spanish Honor Society, current Vice President
Also in Student Council and National Honor Society
Volunteer teaching a preschools class and then a 5th grade class at my church
Volunteer at two different orphanages in Tijuana, Mexico for over a month every summer
Principals' Round Table- Two students from each grade level (nominated by the teachers) represent their grade and meet with the administration of the school twice a month to discuss concerns of the students.
Founding member of the pep club and current Treasurer
Boys' Soccer team manager
I've also worked part time at two different jobs over the course of high school
In the running for Valedictorian or Salutatorian

Rec Letter:
Hopefully good because my teacher was an admissions counselor for University of Tennessee

Thanks!

Definitely qualified.
If you get your ACT score up a few points, I would say IVY league schools are in your reach!
Good luck

Both schools are certainly within reach. Don’t mind the ACT score–a 30 will be more than sufficient. Your EC’s, grades, and rec’s will carry you through. I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into UCLA, but I think it’s a bit of a reach. USC is a match for sure, though.
