Compared to a number of the other schools we have looked at…it seems like a much more open program than like . a UW or UMN.
Not good…your stats are way below the avg.
You have a good chance unless you are applying for the International Business Program. If that is the case, I think it would be a reach.
I applied for Risk Management
Not even close his ACT is 75 percentile and his GPA is probably in the low-mid 4 range on SC’s scale
@apost12 - Can you tell me where you are getting those stats from? I must be looking in the wrong place or have misinformation. I agree that the stats will most likely not get you into the Honors College. I look on their site, I see that for last year they actually gave scholarships (out of state) to people who had the following.
Annual value: $500 + tuition reduction
Four-year value with tuition reduction: more than $57,500
In 2017, recipients of the Academic Scholar - Distinction Award had an average SAT score of 1326 (ACT score of 28) and an average weighted high school GPA of 4.26. Recipients of this award also receive a significant tuition reduction of nearly half of the out-of-state rate.

I’d say you’re probably fine. The Moore School Dean’s Report lists the 2018 b-school SAT at 1288, which is only slightly higher than the university’s average. Even though your GPA is slightly lower, your ACT should make you more competitive.

I think you have a good shot of being admitted straight into the business school. Univ. of SC does take into account and factor in HS rankings.
My OOS daughter, undergraduate class of 2020 was admitted straight into the Darla Moore school of Biz.
top 25 NJ HS, ACT 31, GPA 3.72/4.0
Good luck !
