Yes of course apply, because you never know what could happen. Colleges can be really random. your GPA is good but your SAT is a bit on the low side, but again anything can happen. Since USC doesn't require SAT IIs your scores can only help you, so the 800 is good. You have really sturdy ECs and awards. The only thing that is possibly holding you back is your SAT score, because last time an admissions rep came to my school and said the most important thing is your transcript, then SAT/ACT scores, then essay/extracurricular/recs, but I'm pretty sure you've got a good chance.

yep never put in the effort into SAT's. but i think the acceptance rate for last yr was 1 out every 4 applicants. i heard this yr is gonna be lower tho. Still...should I even apply?

You don't really have a 50% chance, I would put it lower really. SATs are weak, and even though they are nowhere near a deciding factor, those scores won't help you. You have some good ECs and the GPA seems good, but you really have to nail those essays if you expect to even have a fighting chance at getting in. Just work really hard on your essays this week and send in your application, you never know what may happen.

Brace yourself, you're not getting into the University of Southern Califoria. I would advise you to apply to UCR, SDSU, CSULB, CSULA and possibly transfer in a year or two. You would be definately wasting your time, sorry!
