I think you have decent chances. Your GPA and Rank are solid, but nothing crazy.
Your ECs look pretty good, so keep it up with those.
Push to keep up GPA and aim for high scores on the SAT or ACT.
Best of luck to you, you are on the right track!

chance me back please!

I had the same question also wondering if I had a chance.
I’m currently attending a Community College as a Freshman and I have taken 12 credits already and received a 3.4 for the 1st semester. I’m taking 14 credits this semester. I applied to USC as a transfer student and also as open or undecided. I figured I’d have a better chance as undecided rather than putting something like business which is highly competitive. I’m a Socal resident also which may help. I feel that I wrote an awesome application essay so i’m good there. I didn’t get the best grades in high school. I had an avg gpa of 3.0 for my 4 yrs of high school and I got around a 1300 on my SAT scores. I’m hoping that USC will look and see how i’ve improved and grown up since high school. I’m a 3rd generation legacy (Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, 4 uncles, and 2 aunts) all attended and my grandparents were big supporters. I don’t know if this will help me much in the admissions area but it may give me a little competitive edge. If anyone has any thoughts on this it’d be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

please bump

@ OP,

You seem to be on the right track overall. I would recommend you try to score high on either the SAT or ACT and increase your GPA (an upward trend is favorable). It is good that you have a goal set in mind, since you are only a sophomore. Keep at it and you could be a future Trojan. Fight on!

thanks alot. fight on!

please bump :D
