I’m from VA so i know a bunch of people who applied to UVA
a lot didn’t get in, and a couple did.
my friend who got in last year had a 4.1 GPA and 4 years of orchestra, but as far as ECs go, that was pretty much it. Of course, I don’t know what his SATS were but they were probably similar to yours. So i think you have a pretty good shot at UVA. If you’re set on going there, apply early decision and I think you’d definitley get in.
Brown has like an 8% acceptance rate so I think to get in you’d have to apply early decision.
Take some SAT subject tests too if you haven’t already
Good luck!!!

I’m sorry I can’t help you too much, but I can say some things about UVA. I’m instate, so I know it’s easier to get in… But some of the people from my school that have been accepted this year were not the brightest… Which irritates me because UVA is a great school. I’d say you would definitely get in, I know people with lower SATs and just orchestra as an EC that will be attending.

For clarification, UVa is EA not ED. This is the first year so there is no historical data to know which types of students may benefit from EA (if any).

Good luck.
