<p>My GPA Is only that low because of math, I'm kinda bad at it and I don't really plan to major in it so would UVA consider that? I also have an upward trend on my gpa

My senior GPA first quarter is a 4.6 but it will dip 2nd quarter so semester should be around 4.3ish.</p>
<p>Considering you are instate and UVA uses the holistic approach to admissions, I would argue that you have a really good shot. Your e.c’s are excellent and they like to see an increasing courseload/gpa. I am also applying to UVA so best of luck in your process!</p>
<p>What is your unweighted GPA (out of 4.0)? Many schools have different ways of weighting their gpas and it gets pretty confusing. I’ll give you an answer once you come back with that information.</p>
<p>Of course they do. How else would they compare you to someone who’s school has weighted GPA out of 7? It’s how they level the playing field. Anyway, back to your chances. I believe that your SAT scores are fantastic, well above average. However, your GPA is kinda lacking. I think you’re likely to get in, but it’s still possible that you won’t. Thank goodness you’re in state though, or you wouldn’t have a shot.</p>
