Can you be specific about your high school stats? Like ACT or SAT, UW GPA, difficulty of course load and other relevant information? Also what was your senior GPA by semester, as in first semester and second semester senior GPA. All that will matter for sophomore transfer a lot. Basically, if you almost got into UVA as a freshman applicant, you have a chance right now. If you were way off, you will probably get rejected.

My senior year GPA was bad. it was like 3.7 for first and 3.0 for second. My SAT score(i took it only once) 2250.

i took a lot of AP classes though.

I would have to say your chances are iffy then. I think you were borderline when you were rejected but a bad second semester moves you away from that. You will probably get rejected again even if you have a 4.0 this semester because of that dip in your grades. Generally sophomore transfers are those who either would have gotten in or almost got in. For the ones that almost got in, showing improvement from what the admissions officers saw is crucial.
