<p>UVA, UNC chapel hill, Georgia tech, and Vanderbilt are all my reach schools. </p>

<p>Location: Pennsylvania
Major: Biology
White female</p>

<p>GPA: 95.1/100</p>

<p>ACT: 32 (34E, 30M, 30R, 33S) I just took it again so hopefully my score will go up</p>

<p>AP classes:
Sophomore year-AP euro
Junior Year-AP Biology, AP lit, AP US history
Senior Year-AP Comp Gov, AP US Gov, AP Chemisty, AP Calc BC, AP Lang, AP Stats</p>

<p>I also have taken two dual enrollment classes through a local university. I have also taken all honors classes. </p>

<p>SAT IIs:
Math II: 690
US: 690
Chemistry:730</p>

<p>Rank: School does not rank</p>

<p>Awards:
AP Scholar with honor, Fredrick Douglas and Susan B. Anthony Award (a scholarship to UofR), 3 magna cum laude awards from the National Latin Exam, school awards in both English and Foreign Language</p>

<p>ECs:
I'm not going to list everything. But I have many leadership experiences (cheerleading captain, NHS secretary, vice president of a community service club), lots of community service (60 hours at a hospital and various other small activities),
Varsity Cheerleading (both fall and winter seasons). I am also in a few other clubs</p>

<p>Job Experience:
Wait Staff at a nursing home
Bookstore associate at a local community college </p>

<p>Essays:
I think my essays are pretty good.</p>

<p>I also have a sister at UVA. I don't know if that helps or not.</p>

<p>I also applied to pittsburgh, and maryland as sort of safety schools (even though I would love to go to any of them)</p>

<p>UVA and UNC are very hard to get into out of state. That being said, I would think you have as good a shot as any. Vandy is a reach, but it’s a reach for anyone. I would say you have the best shot at Georgia tech, your act score is very good and even better if it goes up even more. I am by no means an expert, but I hope this gives you some sort of idea. Your ECs may be your weakest link, but they are by no means bad. I would think that you have a solid shot at all of these! Best of luck!!!</p>

<p>I think you have a great chance at Vanderbilt. UNC and UVA, as stated above, are reaches for any OOS applicant but you have strong stats so you might have a chance!
