Essays/Recommendations:
My essays and recommendations should be solid. My Spanish teacher and my history teacher will be writing my recommendations.

Colleges:
University of Virginia (First Choice)
College of William and Mary (Second Choice)

Thanks!

I think you’ve got a pretty solid shot. That CR score is killing you, though. I’d suggest trying to take it again or maybe the ACT? Other than that, your profile looks pretty solid. I think you’ll have a strong shot. Are you applying EA/ED (I dont know which it is) to UVA??

Good luck!

No, I’m just going to do regular decision. Yeah, I know my Critical Reading score is killing me. I’m taking it again in October. I don’t know how much is going to change. I speak three different languages (with English being my second.) Do you think they’ll take that into consideration?

I think it should help! If you’re confident you want to go to UVA, I’d suggest applying early…it just shows your dedication to the school more than regular. But your choice, just a thought :)

Good luck!

Does it really increase your chances by that much if you go EA/ED?

Bump!! 10char

How did you manage to take 30 classes?

I think so. There is a high acceptance rate–but that’s probably because the strongest applicants go EA/ED. It shows your dedication, at least.

7-8 Classes a year for four years

You are being given false information. UVA no longer has ED. They took it away a few years ago. William and Mary still has it thought, in case you are thinking about it. Raise that Critical reading into the mid 600’s and you have a great shot at UVA, especially if you are in Southern virginia. I say right now a match for William and Mary and a high match/ low reach at UVA just because of the CR. Raise that and its a match.

Lol… most of the kids take 6 periods. Max is taking 7 classes if one chooses to take 0 period. :/

I don’t know but things are different… we can take up to eight classes a year.

bumppppppp 10char

bump 10 char

bump please1!!

in at UVirginia, probably in at W&M but not a guarantee.

my friend had a 4.0 GPA but didn’t get accepted into UVA…

@skas12 what courses did he take?

personally,if your gonna apply with that score…you would get into to UVA for RD if your going with the current score

because WM is harder to get in RD …compared to UVA in terms of the size of enrollment.
(cuz it has the highest average sat scores)

Well I’d say you’ve got a pretty good chance. The Extracurriculars are great and the sheer number of AP’s is awesome if you et all 4’s and 5’s… I think u’ll get in. Also, If the 2 universities super score, then you might want to take the SAT I again to get the CR up.

Chance me back if you can!
