michigan,ut-austin and uiuc-reach(your act score are below average for these schools)

get the act score to 30+ and ur chances will be considerably higher

Thank you SoccerGuy! If anyone knows about madison or could offer their opinions as well that would be great!

Bump! Only a bump…

GPA is OK, class rank is good, IB is good but the test scores should really go up to get into ChemE at those good schools.

Your first six are a reach. The others you have a better shot.

UWI: High match
UF: High match
UMinn: Match/High match
CU-Boulder: Safety
UIUC: High match
UMI: Reach
UT-Austin Cockrell: Reach
Purdue: Match
UPitt: Match

Your scores are low for engineering. You need 2100+/31+ for UMich and UIUC and that is only the 25%. Minnesota has slightly lower admission stat in general, however, their ChemE is the best on your list. It would probably be as competitive as the other ones. WISC is also not too far off. your GPA is okay for most but a little bit low for UMich (CoE admission average at 3.9). Try your best to boost your test scores if you want to have a better chance for UMich/UMN/WISC/UIUC.

I appreciate everyone’s help! I will definitely try to get my scores up, I have two more years left to do it! I achieved the 28 ACT last year as a sophomore.

I accidentally left two school on my list off of this thread however! Could someone chance me on:
University of Rochester
University of San Diego

Thank You!

Just a bump!

Could someone chance me on:
University of Rochester
University of San Diego

Another Bump!

UIUC engineering stats are mainly due to computer engineering, the most competitive of the gang.

U Rochester: Match
USD: Low match/Match
