So, I was deferred from the Early action (Nov. 1st) application period to the regular (Feb. 1st) period.

KEY POINTS

My unweighted GPA is 3.4-3.5

ACT - 26 (one point below average)

captain of varsity swim team and sectionals qualifier (4 year swimmer)

president of Ski club and member 4 years

(no extracurricular other than that tho…)

just wondering what others thought my chances after deferral were.

ALSO: any tips for improving application before re-submission would be helpful!

You were not denied but it all depends on the rest of the applicants. Do have alternates. Stellar first semester grades that you submit are about all to do at this point. Take a break from college admissions and enjoy the rest of your senior year (continuing to do your academically, of course).
