I would love to hear my chances of admission, as well as, merit scholarship opportunities bc paying for college is a big worry of mine.

Thanks so much!!!

I forgot to add that I have also been a part of my school’s Wind Ensemble for the past three years. This is our highest auditioned concert band performance group.

You are certainly admissible. Take the essays seriously - there are definitely qualified kids who get rejected for thoughtless essays at UW.

Be aware that merit scholarships do not cover the difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition, so make sure you can afford this school. It is expensive for out of state students.

I’m going to UW in the fall!! UW with a scholarship is definitely cheaper than other OOS state schools. I’m premed too but not medical laboratory science (biochem). I chose UW over some other schools bc it was honestly a pretty well priced option tho I am OOS.

I think you have a great shot of admission! I had similarish ECs and much lower gpa and a 36 ACT, and they took me with a scholarship, and I also got into Michigan and NYU. Def put a backup major jic.

UW cares a TON about the essay from what I’ve seen, so focus on that.

feel free to pm me if you’d like/ have any questions lol
