while I know my academics/ECs aren’t in the same caliber as most UVA applicants but they do give more consideration to Charlottesville residents
I intend to major in biochemistry or biomedical engineering

Also, my mom has a degree from there, so I have legacy. My reference letter from my conselor isn’t gonna be great, but I’m expecting a great one from my Soc teacher and a good one from the childrens museum

You know when you apply to UVA you apply to a specific school. College of Engineering (for BME) vs College of Arts and Sciences (for biochemistry) Is your intention premed?
Also if accepted into engineering you first take general engineering classes and apply later for which engineering program you want to take.

Have you worked on any projects or research to explore your interest in either of these areas you are considering as a major?
