I am currently a senior and plan on applying ED to vandy. I really want to go there, but i am worried that my SAT scores are too low. It's my dream school. Please let me know if Vandy is a realistic goal for me!

I will chance you back! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

It is realistic, but it will be extremely tough.

Vanderbilt ED: Low Reach/Reach

Be sure to write great essays.

Good luck!

It’s possible to get in with a ~2000, but it’s gonna be a stretch. I’d suggest you score at least a 2200 to have a good chance of admission. Right now it’s gonna be a reach.

Chance me back if you don’t mind.

Thanks! Achilles09

No problem Victor! Also, since Vandy is a holistic institution like most domestic top tiers and your GPA and SAT are a bit below the conventional amount there, I recommend that you pay extra close attention to your recommendation letters, the way you present your extracurricular activities, and again your essay. You never know what will happen, so just cross your fingers and pray.

Solid EC’s. Low Reach/Match. Good luck!

Solid credentials, just get the SAT score up and you’re golden.
