<p>PLEASE take the time to chance an incoming senior for Duke, Vanderbilt, USC, UCLA, UVA, and Penn! I would like to get a perspective from somebody more realistic than my dad, who insists that I have a 1/3 chance of getting into Harvard (which I doubt is true for anybody whose last name isn't Obama). </p>

<p>I did an advanced photography program for the past two summers and took a photography course at SVA in 10th. I will be taking an advanced Spanish course in Spain this summer. </p>
<p>Volunteer/jobs: Helped organize the creation of a huge mural to donate to an underprivileged school in Newark, helped organize an art show to send art supplies to children in Nicaragua who have no art programs (donated my own art as well), will be volunteering many hours at a hospital this summer as well as working.</p>
<p>Awards: 2nd place Euro Challenge national economics competition (got to go to Washington DC and present at the Portuguese Embassy as a prize), National History Day States, honorable mention for National Spanish Exam 10th and 11th, National Merit commended but I doubt semifinalist</p>
<p>Essay: Has not been written, but assume that it's great.</p>
<p>Assume stellar recommendations as well. (maybe not from my counselor, my mom bugs her a lot)</p>
