Chance me. [Villanova, Carnegie,

I've been getting so many answers saying that my GPA and SATs II are HORRIBLE!!! So I don't know where I am. I'm a kid with good SAT score but terrible GPA.

I'm looking at: ** [THIS IS MY ASSESSMENT AFTER DOING RESEARCH.] **

Penn State- Safety
Drexel - Safety
Villanova - Match
Georgia Institute of Technology - Low Reach
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute - Low Reach
Carnegie Mellon - ???
Northwestern - ???
Union College - ???
Northeastern - ???

Recommend me more Engineering colleges that are within my profile. For all of these colleges I've mention, I have the SAT scores for these colleges and to be honest, I might not have the best GPA but there are students who get accepted with a poor GPA. WHAT I DO FIND ODD THOUGH.

** Why is it that people are commenting on my low GPA? I checked Collegeboard and 13% of the students at Carnegie Mellon had a GPA in my range. So not everyone who gets accepted always has a perfect SAT score or a perfect GPA. **

I don't know man. I still do have a chance though, even if its a slimmer and much smaller chance.

Well, I don’t know all the academic stats for Carnegie… but wouldn’t that mean 87% who were accepted had a higher high school GPA? Aside from your reading score though, I just checked the SAT stats and while your CR score is low your Math and Writing is fine. I guess SATs help your chances a little.

I love the NAVSEA and it’ll definitely help, but there isn’t much else on your resume that sticks out. Spanish Honor Society isn’t uncommon, and nor is Math League.

“I don’t know man. I still do have a chance though, even if its a slimmer and much smaller chance.”

This quote sums up everything.

Northeastern you’ll be fine.
Union College… idk this college but your SATs match the range.
Carnegie is a reach.
Northwestern is tougher than Carnegie imo… so good luck.

Nice to know someone who knows NAVSEA. Loved it too. I didn’t get to go this year though.

Anyways, I know my SAT scores are either above of on the higher end of the scales. I’ve checked. Thats why I don’t know where I stand. I’ve taken some hard courses. I have a bad GPA but slightly above the average SAT scores. Are there any guys like me out there that have gone through this already? I mean. I see all these posts about people who have gotten a good SAT score and good GPAs. I’m kind of unique.

Carnegie Mellon is my dream school and the one thats way above the rest. I’m aiming high. Northwestern was just an extra. I was considering it as one of my two reach schools, along with Carnegie.

Anybody else? Cut out Northwestern and include Syracuse. I’m using

Safeties
Penn State,
Northeastern,
Union College,
Drexel

Match
Syracuse
Villanova
Georgia Institute of Technology
Rensselaer Polytechnic college [Iffy about this one. 76% male. Not looking too good]

Reach
Carnegie Mellon
-“1 more reach school”-

I want to apply to 10 colleges. What do you think? Do you agree with my assessment?
