Chance Me?? Wake Forest, Elon, NC State, UNC Chapel Hill

Hi all!! I’m a female from a competitive, small private Christian school in North Carolina. I was wondering if someone could chance me for the schools that I have applied to.

Top choice – Wake Forest, applied EDII (decided late that I wanted to apply binding), intended major of Biology with minors in Environmental Science and Dance
Second choice – Elon University, applied EA, intended major of Environmental/Ecological Science with minor in Dance
Third choice – NC State, applied EA, intended major of Marine Science with Biological Oceanography concentration with minor in Dance
Fourth choice - UNC Chapel Hill, applied EA, intended major of Environmental Science, minor tbd

3.81 UW GPA, 4.07 W GPA, 30 ACT (28 E, 29 M, 31 R, 31 S) – sent to all schools, 1320 SAT (640 R/W, 680 M) – only sent to Elon and NC State, all AP and Honors classes
My school does not have class rank, but I know I am in top 10 because I am a Junior Marshal (top 10 GPAs in class) – approx. 50 in class. I believe I am at least in top 7 to 8
Senior year core classes: AP Economics (macro/micro), Honors Physics, AP Calculus AB, Honors English 4, Honors Spanish 4 — first semester is over and finished with 92s and up in everything except 90 in AP Economics (GPA will potentially rise because of this semester)
Took AP Biology junior year (my school offers few AP’s – ex., only AP science available is Biology)
Had 2 high B’s sophomore year (in honors history and honors English) and 1 high B in first semester junior year (AP Biology), otherwise all A’s

  • Thought that supplements and essays accurately represented me and were good

Other:
I interviewed at Wake and thought it went extremely well, lasted 35-40 mins, discussion flowed easily

Please let me know what your thoughts are!

I can only speak for Wake, as that was the only school of them I applied to. I applied ED I and just got my acceptance letter. I would say it is a slight reach for you, but definitely possible especially considering their ED acceptance rate is higher than their RD rate. My ACT was higher and I’ve taken more rigorous courses(although the course offerings at your school will be considered in the application process!!) with a slightly higher weighted gpa and about the same as you unweighted. You are way more impressive in terms of extracurriculars and that will be a big selling point. Not sure if this helps, but best of luck!!
