Wake is one of my favorite schools, Ive visited twice

ACT: 36 first try
GPA: A- range, strong upward trend. Not great in grades 9/10, but Junior year straight A’s

Senior YearCourses- AP Calc BC, Advanced English, AP Spanish Conversation, AP Physics C, International Relations, Chorus, Vocal Ensemble (selective, more advanced choir)

ECs: Chorus and Vocal Ensemble,
Two choirs in local organization
Leadership council in school
Founding member of service org (raised 10k)
Varsity Football and tennis
Service Trips (120 hours service total)
All-state Chorus

Very good private school in Northeast.
White Male,
high income

You have a REALLY GREAT chance if applying ED because the acceptance rate is so much higher. Still a very strong chance Regular Decision. Acceptance rate is approx 36% ED vs 24% RD

@mynamajef Also, acappella is big at Wake and you’d be great in that! Great mix of guys from different majors etc that just love to sing. Wake makes sure they have great opportunities for concerts, CD’s, etc. As with everything else Wake does, it’s first class.

It can be alarming when an applicant has a test score that demonstrates ability such as yours and a GPA that doesn’t match it, which portrays a lack of focus and seriousness in regards to academics. It will be interesting to see if they make a connection concerning this…

@wh0legrain that was true for sophomore year, but Junior and Senior year I’ve gotten straight A’s in the top classes, demonstrating a strong upward curve
