strong applicant with only 1 strike against you- the ACT score. wouldn’t be enough to scare me away from applying ED, but I think would maybe keep you out if you were applying RD. But as an ED1 applicant I like your chances. There is just so much competition for WashU these days and a lot of the kids are high-stat performers.

If the OP has a tribal number/documentation of Native American ancestry, chances should be good even with the 31 ACT.

If I recall correctly, there is a kid in my son’s current WashU class who has similar demographics to the OP (Caucasian/Native American), but the OP has higher test scores. Son’s classmate had ~1290 on new SAT.

As I mentioned above, any proof of Native American ancestry will help with admissions.

Dartmouth is another school that should be on the radar as well as it has a mandate to take high achieving students with Native American ancestry.
