I am a very strong writer so I do not believe that essays will be an issue and my grade trends are very strong.

I'm am looking in to business.

Safety:
University of Minnesota
University of Wisconsin-Madison
Purdue University
U of Illinois-Champagne

Match:
UMich (EA)
UNC (EA)
USC
NYU

UCLA

Reach:
Emory

UCB

So, the thing that is going to set you apart is the nice amounts of EC’s you have, which are awesome and varied. That will absolutely help you get into a lot of the schools you are applying to. Your GPA is perfect for where you are going at, so the only thing I see being an issue for you is your ACT. If you can knock it up a bit, I think that you’ll be a nice shot for a lot of these schools!

Your safeties shouldn’t be an issue.
UCLA/NYU aren’t exactly matches though with your ACT score. Especially if you are going for business, in which case you would apply to Stern, which is much more challenging to get into. However, if you pump your ACT up I think NYU would be more of a match. UCLA, however, is still a very tough school to get into regardless.
You reaches are good shoots. I would say that your best shot among the three is UCB, and Emory and Mellon are going to be much harder shoots for you!

Hope I helped =)

If you get the ACT you want on your next test I think most of those schools are a definite match! You have great ECs! Your GPA is right on target also!! Good luck!!

sorry, but USC, UNC (chapel hill? ) and UCLA are reaches… they are HARD schools, and while you will hopefully get in, don’t get cocky. esp. UCLA, its probably the 2nd hardest school on your list… UCB also. emory youll probably get into

I agree with UNC and UCLA, because they have very tough OOS policies. I am somewhat surprised with your thoughts on USC (not a state school). Could you clarify as to why I could get into Emory but I will have a hard time at USC? It just seems to conflict with what I have heard. Do you think I could do anything to increase my odds at these “match” schools?

and yes Chapel Hill

Could you think of some more “realistic” schools for me?

bumpitty bump

Assuming you achieve your projected ACT scores I think you look solid for all of your matches as well as a great chance for Emory and Carnegie Mellon.

Thank you! Just looking for more opinions sooooooo bump!

You have great chances at all of your choices, and I respectfully disagree with irmjunior – Emory is a reach but you still have good chances, and it’ll be a tad more difficult to get into than USC. I suggest looking into Boston College too; you have an excellent chance of acceptance there and its a top business undergrad. Good luck!
