Chance me?--Will Chance Back!!

Sorry for the long info--the only essential information is the GPA and SAT, the rest are just to give more info about my application.
My dream school is Colby College in Maine...what are my chances of getting in? Also, seeing my grades, should I apply ED?
Another question I had involves the art supplement...someone recommended that I do this for dance, however I'm not really sure what it is. If anyone could provide some information about it, that would be very much appreciated.
If anyone wants a chance back, leave a link to your thread, I'll tell you what I think as soon as I see it!
Also, I live in Athens, Greece now it is not possible for me to do on-campus interviews, and lff-campus interviews with alumni seem unlikely. Does anyone know if Colby would allow me to do an interview over skype/phone?

ps sorry for reposting but I forgot a lot of information and could not edit my previous thread.
Thank you so much for any help with this, it's much appreciated! If anyone needs help with anything, post a link to your thread, I'll be sure to look at it :D

I barely had to look through your the information provided to tell you that Colby will probably be a sure shot for you, especially if you are successful in bringing your math score up! Your courses are diverse, and with IB/Honors to boot, your academic record is quite good. Then, even though your extracurriculars aren’t as community service oriented as colleges might want, you make it up with what seems to be a genuine passion and high performance level in dance. Add the fact that you’re Bilingual and a globetrotter, you can be reasonably confident for your admission.
As for the ED thing, I think it’s really up to you. If that’s the college you feel you fit at the best, and money isn’t a big issue, apply ED. If not, I would wait it out.
Good Luck!

loool, reading your stats, I thought you were planning to attend to ivy league. Colby would love to accept a person with the stats like yours.

And if they don’t, they are out of their minds!

Your stats are too good to lose any sleep over it. Because of their study abroad programs Colby loves students who have travelled and lived in different parts of the world. You should be able to receive a nice financial aid package from them

The arts supplement is a section of the application where you can send in a video/recording/painting (I believe), and convey your skill to admissions. If you are as good at dancing as your app shows, it would be very helpful to do this. Also, i seriously think you should try some upper tier schools. You have the base stats and ECs, and top schools give some of the best aid, why not? Colby is very close to a sure shot for you.

I think you’ll get in. 60-70 percent chance.

Could you chance me back?- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1358327-chance-me-please.html

Thanks :)

I think you are very likely to be admitted, you may even be a little overqualified. But, your stats are good and you sound like an interesting applicant. Chance me back please! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1372710-chance-me-emory-ed-1-please-recommend-other-schools.html

Thanks so much for all the feedback guys!
I’ve chanced everyone who asked back (:

Id say its a match, SATs are above the 50 % mark.

thanks so much :D

ya should be low match/safety for you.

BTW, I forgot my thread: Chance me back for my list on post 43: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1370966-finding-match-schools.html

Chanced you back, thanks so much for your response! (:

I’d love feedback from a few more people, and maybe suggestions on some safety schools, I’m having trouble finding those!

Your grades definitely look good! Colby shouldn’t be hard for you to get into. Your EC’s will definitely help you a lot as well.

I think you could also aim for more selective schools with the great resume you have!

Chance me back please! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1374018-chances-jhu-cornell-uchicago-more.html

Your stats are great! i think you are a shoe in at colby, other schools i would say you have a good shot at would be if you aimed for target school ssuch as university or maryland or any other school that has a really good rank in the major you want to pursue, youc an check sites like usnews education for that.

As for ED i think if you were to ED a better school you could stand a chance, ED’ing a low reach school that you really like would be more worth it

chance me back  please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1373875-please-chance-first-glance.html

I’m not too familiar with colby, and I may be mistaken, but your GPA looks on the lower side. Apart from the math SAT, your score is great, so good luck bringing that up. Other than that, your EC’s are really solid and you have a good shot. Try to take the ACT.
