CarnegieMellon- which college?
UC Berkeley- reach
UNC Chapel Hil- low reach
UChicago- reach
Northwestern- reach
UPenn- reach
MIT- reach
Cornell- low to mid reach
UVA - Legacy- high match

NYU Stern;
Carnegie Mellon - SCS
UVA - Really? And Legacy is residency program not undergrad if that make a difference.
Would I get merit scholarships for any?
And what would be chances with ED/EA

NYU Stern- low reach
CMU CSC- reach
For UVA legacy make sure you go EA, regular decision legacy does not mean much for many colleges
(what is math subsection on ACT)

NYU Stern - Is low reach worse than high reach or better?
Any merit scholarships with my stats to any of these schools?

ACT Breakdown:
Comp:34
English:35
Math:34
Writing:34
Science:31

low reach is better than high reach. The 34 is great for finance/comp science major
Merit at maybe Maryland, not so sure about merit scholarships though

Stern is probably a reach…if you ED I think you have a decent chance though

Are you ranked?

They dont rank us in our school but I am about 10%. Also I did the magnet pre-ib program in 9th and 10th and the IB in 11th and 12th which explains sub par GPA to a certain point.

Ahh okay…do you mind chancing me for CS at UT Austin?

Here are my stats

SAT: 2210, (Math 710, CR 790, Writing 710)

PSAT: 209 (commended)

GPA: 5.337, around top 11 percent

Around a 3.75 unweighted on a 4.0 scale

I’ve taken around 15 AP classes in high school

I will be taking AP Comp Sci next year

I have a few leadership positions: captain of the chess/debate teams, vice president of the economics club

I do some volunteering out the local religious organization (100+ hrs)

I also did an internship over the summer at a local computer based company

I’m assuming that means L&S then (it’s the easiest way to do the double major). If that’s the case, then you have a pretty good shot at UCB (your UC weighted GPA looks like it’d be pretty high).
