<p>I just applied to University of South Carolina- Columbia early action (I am from NY) and I was wondering if someone could pretty please tell me what you think my chances are.
GPA: 3.27
Freshman- 2.78
Sophomore- 3.08
Junior- 3.91
Senior- Still in progress but I so far I am receiving A's and A-'s…</p>

<p>SAT: 1740
CR: 580
Math: 510 (I know, very low but I just can't seem to get it up)
Writing: 650</p>

<p>EC's:
SADD Club
Habitat For Humanity Club
School Newspaper
Varsity swimming for 5 years
Summer team for 14 years
Service trip to New Orleans
Involved in charity, Swim Across America for 9 years
NY State Beach clean up and other community service projects
I also took two school trips- to Europe and to Washington DC. There was an option to do assignments and receive school credit for them, which I opted to do.</p>

<p>I have taken AP Environmental Science and almost all Honors and accelerated courses.</p>

<p>I have a pretty good essay and sent the admissions counselor a separate essay explaining my academic trips further.</p>

<p>I’m sorry, but you have no shot at Columbia…your SAT’s and GPA are not at their Columbia, but USC is looking good! :)</p>

<p>Columbia is completely out of reach, love. USC is probably fine though! GPA and test scores are the problem. You could try to at least get test scores up?</p>

<p>you have good test scores but try finding your a-g gpa which is your 10th and 11th grade grades</p>

<p>Unfortunately, your chances at Columbia are dim due to low sat scores, GPA, and strength of schedule. However you should get an acceptance letter from South Carolina </p>
