Can you chance me for colleges that I’m thinking about and any advice on how to improve my app will be great! I’ll be happy to chance back if you’d like! Thank you!!

Not bad, good ACT, probably shouldn’t submit SAT because ACT is significantly better. ECs are pretty good, I think you should find a solid hook to run with for the essays. Maybe music? Or science? I think Boston U is safety/match, Tufts is match, John Hopkins is match/low reach, USC is match, others are in reach but selective

-4.0 GPA, 4.3 weighted
-1/510 Class Rank in competitive school on the coast
-Projected ACT: 33-36 Based on practice tests
-4’s on 2 APs, will take 5 APs junior year
-Made it to state debate tourney, and nationals
-Head of Black Students Union
-Assisted in research in clinic
-Volunteer at church
-Raising money for impoverished Ethiopians, still finding a way to donate this money effectively (need help on this)
-African; 200K+
-HYS, UCLA, Duke, Other Ivies

Competitive school in Washington (the west coast state lol)

NYU and BU are matches. The rest are reaches. Add some safeties to your list

would say nyu, bu, and usc are matches.
rest are reaches, but cornell & georgetown might be lk the lower of the reaches.

Hey,
GPA and ACT are excellent! I think you should only send your ACT score for it is good as is (compared to your SAT). I’m not sure if submitting AP scores are a requirement for colleges admissions; if they aren’t, there’s no need to send them. The volunteering experience is very beneficial; will definitely increase your chances. You have a great chance for NYU, BU, and Tufts. Good luck! Chance me back? Thanks!

You seem to be a really strong applicant! I’m guessing you have a really good shot at BU, Georgetown, Tufts, and NYU. Not that you don’t have a good shot as the others, they’re just not as likely. I think you’ll definitely get into some good schools. Good luck!

Cornell, low/reach
NYU, match
John Hopkins, low/reach
Boston University, match
Northeastern, match
Georgetown, high match
Tufts, high match
Columbia, reach
UChicago, reach
Northwestern, high match
Emory, match
USC, match

You have very well-rounded and great academics. Get a leadership position (President hopefully) in a club/organization and your chances at the Ivies and UChicago will be much higher. If there is not a club where you can attain a leadership position, start your own! Start something related to health to showcase your interest in your intended major
