Job at Esprit for the Summer of 11th grade
Job as a sales associate for 9th and 10th grade at my parent's buisiness.</p>

<p>Volunteer Work: Approximately 250 hours at USO(united service organization for military)
Approximately 50 hours at my local hospital
Summer in Beijing as part of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Orchestra: First foreign band to perfom in Tiananmen Square, then Great Wall, then Opening.</p>

<p>1).I would like to know if my SAT II scores put me out of reach into these schools? My dream would be to get into columbia and major in political science, but I'm not sure it's possible with these scores. I'm retaking the biology/e in December and I'm also taking USH and retaking literature for a higher score.</p>

<p>2). Will I be at a disadvantage because my school dosen't offer as many AP classes as others do? I've seen people with nearly 10 AP's whereas I haven't been able to attend more than one because my school only offers one. </p>

<p>i think you have a pretty good chance when considering your awards, it really depends what region of the country you’re in though (you’re compared to applicants in your region, so if other schools don’t offer many APs it may not be that much of a disadvantage, and they do evaluate you in terms of the opportunities available to you, but a high gpa doesn’t mean as much when its not from AP/IB courses)</p>

<p>For Columbia, your SAT II scores are fine.</p>

I’m on my phone so I can’t change the last post, but yeah, I’m really not sure. For what it’s worth, they’ll probably only see the 800 and the 650.</p>
