I think you stand a pretty good chance for most of the schools, but only because thats what you want me to say :)

Thanks for the chance!
Wow, really all I can say is excellent ECs. You seem to be very active and this, along with your excellent SAT I scores certainly highlight your resume (from what I can see). As long as you achieve your predicted scores on the SAT II tests and AP exams I would say that you are essentially a guaranteed acceptance at such schools as UMD, Lehigh, and Carnegie Mellon. You have excellent chances at some of the others, but like seemingly all students, such schools as MIT, CalTech, and Harvard may be a reach. You have a strong advantage over the average applicant at Harvard with your legacy however. I would certainly say you have strong potential for acceptance at Cornell, Rice, and WashU. All in all, you have a strong resume; focus on your upcoming tests and exams and make sure you top off your resume with excellent essays and recs and you will be in great shape for just about any school to which you apply.

I’d say you are in at every school (even Cornell) with Harvard, MIT, and CalTech being your reaches. Out of those three I would definitely say that you have the best shot at Harvrad just based on the ECs you have done through the school plus legacy status and reccomendations. And if you do get a high 700 or an 800 on the math subject test then your chances at MIT and CalTech will probably go increase even more. But honestly you are a strong applicant, and I would not be surprised if you got into one of the three schools.

Best of luck!

so, based on your amazing sat scores i think you will get in all the colleges. the last two colleges though, may be a high match, rather than a match, because your gpa is a little low (they usually look for 4.0 GPAs), but everything else looks good. since your sat scores and ecs are pretty good, you still have a good chance at the last two; it’s just they may be a little harder. btw, how did you do so well on the sat?

Wow, your ECs put mine to shame!

I wouldn’t listen to OneLoveOneLife about the Spanish Honor Society. Even if it just a “tautology club”, I’d rank it similarly to a reputable club. I feel like leaving stuff out is a bad idea. Do tailor any interviews, though. I hear it’s best to not even talk about what’s already on your application; they read that already.

But if you could pull that CR 710 up a little to be closer to your M + W it’d look nice. Did you get that all the first time? I hear taking the SAT 3+ times looks bad… I’m wondering about that myself.

Harvard, MIT, and CalTech seem like high reaches. Although your professors’ recommendations and your work at Harvard definitely helps a lot.

Sounds like you’re in the same boat as me in terms of grad year, major/career aspirations, and class rank, although you have a beefier resume. Best of luck!
