General Comments:
Thanks for the input, I'm pretty nervous

ALSO, I still have a lot of essays to write, any willing editors would be greatly appreciated - please let me know and I will PM one to you!!

BUMP

You are a very competivie applicant. Your GPA and test scores are great! Just focus on those essays now! I think it would be unethical for me to help you edit seeing that I am a student, but make sure to get them done! Princeton Review has some essay editors who will help you (for a fee of course). I know some people who it worked for. But make sure to finish them befor the weekend ends. A lot of these applications are due by the first if I’m not mistaken, which given you 5 days.

Williams may be a stretch
everything else looks fine

I know it’s the eleventh hour but I would consider adding more than 6 schools including some state schools like a UC, Wisconsin or College Park MD. As class president you might have a shot at JHU too. Good luck.

overall, i think you have good chances for most of these, just nail the essays. your courses are very impressive, and being first gen college will help you quite a bit.

I think that your scores and ECs are really good
Williams: Low reach
Bowdoin: Match
Tufts: Match
Middlebury: Match
Colgate: Low Reach
Colby: Match
Good luck! Chance back? :slight_smile: <a href=“Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums”>Chance me for Vassar I'll chance back :) - Vassar College - College Confidential Forums;

Thank you guys! I will chance back!!

@Calicash any idea where I can find people to proof read? I’m curious about prices and obviously a little desperate

@qwerty97 We have 3 colleges in common. Your course load and ECs look great. Being first generation will help you quite a bit too. That ACT is where it should be.

Not sending SATs and SAT IIs is a good idea, they would’ve hurt you.

I’d say reach for Williams (would’ve been low reach without those SAT IIs) match for the rest.

Good Luck! :)

@burak96 haha, I know my subject tests suck.
I just chanced you back. Best wishes!

I actually think you GPA combined with your class rank is fine, I think your high class rank and low GPA just attests to the lack of grade inflation at your school. I dont know that much about liberal arts colleges (although granted tufts isn’t one). Your ecs seem good as well and you seem very competitive at all your schools. Best of luck! :)

Williams will be tough, as well as Bowdoin. I know of a kid who graduated last year who applied to Williams and got denied with a 2150 SAT and a 4.48 GPA on a 5.0 scale. he was also president of his class with many other leadership positions. However, he did get into Cornell and Johns Hopkins, and decided to go to Cornell

Glad this is all over - I’m absolutely thrilled to be enrolled at Middlebury College! Thanks again to all of you who gave me your input when I was stressing.

Here are all of my results:
Williams: rejected
Bowdoin: rejected
Tufts: accepted
Middlebury: accepted
Colgate: waitlisted
Colby: accpted

I was also accepted to my two safeties: McDaniel and Juniata
