What happened with grades/rank?

Good list of schools-might want to look at Holy Cross-very good scienc majors(chemistry and biology). Holy Cross has an application due date of January15th and is need blind for admissions-meets 100% of demonstrated need. HC has nice campus-1 hour from Boston.

I screwed up 9th grade really badly. had like a 3.3 gpa? yeah, only brought it up to about 4.1 in tenth grade, since then though it’s dipped slightly, and I may only have a 4.0 in senior year, maybe even a 3.9. I’m kind of afraid of the dip, because though I improved, it’s been proving very difficult to maintain, not sure if the midyear report will hurt me :/

bump, anyone?

er…what exactly does your 3.8 correspond to, either percent-wise or on your basic 4.0 scale? I know it isn’t a mathematically correct way of doing things, but converting it to percent (3.8/4.7) and then multiplying that out to a 4.0 scale gives you something around a 3.2 GPA.

High SATs don’t really make up for a lower GPA/rank, and considering your grades, all the schools you listed look like high reaches.

But honestly, I have no idea how competitive your school is. Where do people around your rank usually head on to?
