So.. chance me please?

Thanks for all your time!

Coming from certain areas in Connecticut, you are going to have alot of competition in your grade to get in. Your chances seem good, but try to tailor your application to what Yale needs. Why should they take you over a hypothetical kid who has grades as good as you, a legacy in Yale and rows varsity crew?

I'm applying EA too....good luck, hope we both get in!

Not to be crude but I don't think Yale would like a grocery list such as your stats...I didn't read most of it but the question is: how much of those EC's really matter to you. You can't put all of that down anyways. Pick important ones. Write a good essay too.

Your EC/award list is faaaaaaaar too long. Whittle it down to the things that are most important to you, and focus on that.

As far as I can tell you have the grades and scores, but I didn't read your EC list so I can't give a very good judgment

EDIT: You also need to take another SATII

not that amazing

thanks everyone for the feedback!
yeah i realize i'll definitely whittle down my ECs.. this was just a list i had been keeping but i'll edit it eventually.
i didnt know that yale requires 3 sat IIs?
and yeah.. my area of Connecticut is very competitive unfortunately.

I think Yale accepts two SAT IIs. Harvard and Princeton require three.
Oh btw I forgot to chance you. I think you have a great chance. I think it's great you and tstarr31113 are applying EA because I heard that does actually give a better chance. I'm not sure though.

OK...so of course I wont beat a dead horse....too many EC's. I did however read them, all! Your stats are very good obviously....so what jumped out at me was the Youth Internship in Israel. You are a white jewish girl from an affluent area...SO....if I were you, I would write that all important essay on that experience. What did you learn about yourself during that experience? How did it change you?
If you would really focus on that experience in your essay... I think you would have a good chance at Yale!
Good Luck!
chance me back, thanks.

Luvya early actionnnnn!

I don't think I'd mention taking AP calculus as an EC...

Your GPA, SATs, and AP tests are good. Condense your EC list. Half of that list is one-time involvements or unecessary fluff.

Grades and tests look great! Keep your ECs trimmed down and focused
