54 Hours of volunteering at local food pantry
plus other misc. volunteer work.

Summer Job:

about 20 hours a week

Can you chance me based off of this? Does it help that I've showed a lot of effort coming from a small school, with not a lot of opportunities?

Your ACT is a bit low for WashU, even for ED. The rest of your application looks great, and having first generation, URM status, and small school with still a lot of clubs will definitely help you. (How involved are you in those ECs though? Are you just participating or actually contributing significant, such as in a leadership position?) You definitely show a lot of dedication, and taking the hardest workload will be a plus too. I’m not sure how the ACT works, but if it’s not too late, see if you can get a better ACT score. I say you have a decent to good chance, and a great chance if you can get that ACT score up.

Thank you!
:)

Yes, I am a participant in most of the activities i am a member of. I just listed the ones I am participating in this year, not from previous years. Some of them are quite time consuming, like student council for example. I have had leadership positions in FFA, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, and FBLA. I also have a varsity letter in track, as well as the most improved award…haha

FYI I am pretty sure Wash U takes the October ACT into consideration for ED.
