Recommendations: Excellent

Of course you will get admitted. The real question is which merit scholarship you will get.

fallen chemist,

What is your “gut feeling” for a scholarship? My daughter plans on taking the ACT in December and hopes to earn a 33. Is there a test score needed to receive the Presidential scholarship? I was told by Tulane that they would consider her December test score.

I don’t know the exact parameters Tulane uses in making the decisions between scholarships. Gut feeling: with the 32 she is right on the border between Distinguished Scholars and Presidential with Honors Program invite in either case, and the 33 would very likely put her over the top for the Presidential. She has a very strong record, I know you have to be really proud of her. Best of luck to you both!

My thoughts exactly. I have really enjoyed reading your input on Tulane. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

you are definitely in good shape; have you applied for the community service scholarship?

the DHS is a little less of a lock, but you should definitely give it a shot
