<p>Extracurricular and Volunteer Activities</p>
<p>-Served a volunteer at a local hospital: Though I was not given too many leadership positions, I feel I did get a taste of the medical field from my experiences here (Prospective major in biochemistry or biological sciences).
-Firefighter Explorer: As a member who served for over a year, I was often chosen to teach newcomers the basics. The Explorer program is basically a program that gives students a chance to experience what firefighters deal with everyday. I'd say this is also a career oriented activity.
-Church activities: I played in the praise band often as the bass player and also filled in a few times for the youth group pastor, preparing lessons and activities every once in a while, even when the pastor was not gone.
-Orchestra: My school's orchestra is a very competitive one. Our director/conductor sets us up for competitions almost every year in second semester and he does not want us to lose. And so my peers and I dedicate many hours of practice to hopefully do well in the competitions.</p>
