Chance me

I was recently deferred, hoping for input as to my chances for acceptance...

ACT: 31 composite
SAT: 1980 total, 1330 out of 1600

89 gpa
2 AP's (senior year)
honors english all 4 years
accelerated math
honors science freshman and sophomore year

out of state

4 continuous years of 2 different sports, and intense community service involvement

THe ACT score and extra curriculars look good. The honors classes are not as much but they should be good.

I think you should focus more on your grades. If you have an increase in grades for 1st semester, you would have a good chance

Most are used to a 4.0 grading scale- please do the work to convert. Is an 89 a B+? Then it is a terrible gpa for UW.

There are several conversion charts and most would have an 89 as somewhere in the 3.4-3.6 range so it’s doubtful it’s terrible. Probably competitive.

[Busymom.net: Speaking of GPA’s and back problems…](http://www.busymom.net/archives/002928.html)

a b+ average is hardly terrible for uw…no need to be an ass…
defferal isnt a denial which is good…send your 1st semester transcripts to them, esp if they show improvement over last years grades and any new ecs youve got
