Northeastern’s acceptance rate is going down the tubes (meaning it is getting harder and harder to get in), so first off don’t feel badly if you do not in fact get in.
I am a Senior at Chariho High School, a public school. I was accepted to Northeastern. My average is a 90-91. With the rigorous schedule you have, that may or may not make up for the difference in GPA. I didn’t take as many AP classes as you, although I did take all honors.
My schedule looked similar, 4 years of english, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalc and Trig, Environmental/Physical science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Journalism, 4 Art classes (sculpture, drawing, ceramics, art 1), Social Psych, Youth and the Law, World Civilizations, US History I and II, PE/Health (all four years), Meal planning, etc.
The fact that you are learning/have learned piano is good, and the clubs/extracurriculars you are doing are good. I was in Student Council (held an office Junior and Senior year, participated for sophmore, junior, senior year) and was Editor in Chief of my school’s Newspaper Club Junior and Senior year. I also went on a 19 day trip as a student ambassador to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Italy. I was also inducted into National honors society.
As a side note, its like 1 in the morning, please don’t judge my grammar and spelling issues as me not being a very good Editor in Chief lol
When you do take the SATs, shoot for at least mid 600s. I got a 640 on math, 690 on Critical Reading, and 640 on Writing.
I’m not sure if this will help in comparison. But I hope it does! Good luck!
