Just curious, what are my chances of getting into UCSC?

I have a 3.33 (non weighted) GPA
Have taken AP Psychology
SAT score: 1600
I have overcome a learning disability in Mathematics and have ADD for what it's worth.
Extra-curricular:
Marching Band (two years)
Ultimate Frisbee Club
Community Service:
90+ hours of being a Cabin Leader at an outdoor camp.

I can write a very strong Essay; I'm articulate and emotionally intelligent, so I can strike emotional chords when I have to.

I would say we need to know what your weighted gpa is.
is AP Psyc your only weighted class?
I think you should improve your SAT 1 scores more than anything.
Also your 3.33 does it show an improvement?
If anything my friend got into UCSC this year with a 3.0 unweighted and 3.3 weighted gpa but his SAT 1 score was 2000, SAT 2 were also decent, both in the 600s. He didn’t have anything amazing for extra curricular and his essay was probably decent at best. His major was Biology. So comparing I would say just bring up that SAT score a bit and make sure to take SAT 2 to show your strength in the science field.
Admissions can be very strange but I think you should have a decent shot.

AP Psych. is my only weighted class.
Unweighted: 3.23
I’ll definitely bring up my SAT score and I signed up for the SAT II US History, Biology, and Math tests. I would really like to attend UCSC, so I’ll be hitting the books! Thanks for the encouragement, by the way. And yes, my grades have gradually improved. Currently, (Junior year) I have had a 3.83 last semester and next semester I’m shooting for a 4.12 weighted-- I don’t know the exacts on how it’ll effect my overall GPA, but it can only go up.

Thats a very nice improvement.
Make sure your senior courses are nice and rigorous. Don’t destroy yourself since it is senior year but at the same time don’t take an easy way. In my opinion you are showing great improvement and that you can take the difficult courses in college. By doing a nicely loaded senior year, again don’t kill yourself its senior year you want to enjoy it, it shows that yes you had a stumble but you have overcome it and are able to excel college level classes. Again that is my opinion if I were to see it.
Best of luck to you and don’t slack off no matter what :D
