Chance Me?

Hey guys! I love Smith and I'm considering applying Early Decision. I'm currently a Junior and I'm going to an interview there this week. Please chance me? Thank you very much!

SAT I:
Critical Reading: 620
Math: 680
Writing: 720
Composite: 2020

I'm taking the World History and Literature Subject Tests in June.
Unweighted GPA: 3.75 - my high school transcript also shows a lot of improvement since I didn't do too well the first semester of freshman year and I now have straight As.

APs and Honors: This year I'm in AP Literature and Honors History. Next year I'm taking AP Bio, AP Language, and Honors Government and Economics (my school doesn't offer AP Government or Economics) I'm also doing an independent study of Mandarin Chinese and next year I'm taking all of my electives at a nearby college.

Extracurriculars:
-I'm the editor for the school newspaper for next year
-I'm part of my school's microcredit club, where we make loans to small business owners in 3rd world countries through Kiva.org
-I have been working at a local cafe for over a year
-I am attending the Barnard Precollege Four Week Program over this Summer
-I attended the Philadelphia Writing Project last Summer
-I have volunteered for multiple political campaigns for both local candidates and Obama's 2008 presidential campaign
-I am on the junior advisory board for a local eating disorder prevention organization
-I frequently volunteer for the Philadelphia Jewish Relief Agency, where I pack and deliver food to low income Jews in the area
-I am currently planning a benefit outside of school to raise money for Planned Parenthood

Other: My mom recieved both her bachelors and masters degrees from Smith College.

Well, I think that's everything. I hope I do well on my interview this week. Any tips for interviews at Smith? Thank you for your help!

A legacy Early Decision candidate with reasonably good scores and GPA and ECs would be hard to ignore.

As for the interview, just be yourself, and let them know how you are “heady, nervy, and intellectually exciting”?
