Anyone???

I’m finishing my second semester at Hofstra, and I can honestly tell you that unless you have below at 2.0 GPA, horrible SATs, or are illiterate, you will be accepted. Most people here are idiots, so if you’re not completely stupid, you’re likely to get in.
Also, if you go to Nassau Community College for 2 years and get a 2.0, Hofstra will enroll you. Save some money and go to CC if you really want to go to Hofstra…

Hi! I’m a current Hofstra student. I think it’s great that you’re taking honors courses and that you’re involved in extracurricular activities. You’re putting yourself on the right track to do well in college. I think you probably have a good chance of getting into Hofstra, and I hope you apply! Unlike what the other poster said, Hofstra is a really great school with a lot of intelligent students and extremely knowledgeable professors. 90 percent of our professors have the highest degree in their field, and many are currently working or have worked in the field prior to teaching, so they have great practical as well as theoretical knowledge. As someone who’s certainly not an idiot, I take offence to the implication that I am one. I work hard at Hofstra, and I do well because of it. My classes are often challenging, but they’re also really interesting and exciting. If you have any questions about academics or student life, I’d be happy to answer them for you!

question: do you know anything about the 4+4 program?
do you think i can get in?

Overall gpa is a 99 (will most likely be a 101 by mid-year). Ranked number 5 out of class of 363 students. Taken about 5 ap’s, got 3 and above on all. will be taking 4 more aps in may.

Yes, you have an excellent chance of getting accepted. For those that think Hofstra is an “easy” college, it is not. The classes have gotten harder over the years and the programs are quite competitive.
