<p>I'm a junior from a competitive school in NY and I have a 3.26UW 3.33W overall GPA. I just took the SAT today and my previous score from March was a 1900. I will be taking SAT IIs and the ACT in June. I took AP World last year and got a 3. I just took APUSH and will be taking AP Lang&Comp on Wednesday. Next year I'll be taking AP Psych, Stat, and Environmental. I've been in Key Club(most likely PR next year),Men's Choir(president next year), and SADD( students against destructive decisions) since freshman year. I was on the JV tennis team freshman and sophmore year. I'm playing varsity this year and will be playing again next year. I play first chair clarinet in my school's band program. I have over 100 hours of community service from various events. This summer I will be getting a lot more from teaching local high school kids in Beijing English. </p>

<p>Would it help that I'm Asian and my parents didn't go to/finish college? What do you think my chances are at University Park? Thanks!</p>

<p>I think you have a very good chance. Your sat is great and your gpa looks to be good enough try to raise if you can and do well first semester of senior year. Also apply early since Penn state is rolling. Goodluck with admissions.</p>

<p>Hey, I am a transfer student, I am at community college. I should have 60 credits and two years of a community college done by next year. All my credits will be able to transfer I looked online. I am trying to earn a 3.0 gpa average. If I have around a 2.75 or higher can I still be accepted to psu. I have a family member that went there also. I am from out of state.</p>
