<p>I really like colby college but I dont know if I would get in.
Grade: rising junior
Female
Gpa: 4.00 unweighted
Top 10 percent of my grade possible top 5, out of 200
State: michigan
Act: 28
Freshman year: geometry, advanced algebra 1, biology,
Classes sophomore year: chemistry, ap human bio, advanced algebra 2, prob and stats, french
next year: ap psych, ap bio, ap stats, precalc,economics
Senior year: ap english, ap chem, ap calc, civics</p>

<p>ECs:
Ice hockey, lacrosse, softball, student coucil, PalS
some volunteering, plan on doing more. Next summer going on two week medical mission trip to kenya
part of the advanced honors program at our school
Doing research next year at msu on a topic of my choice...possibly oncolog

<p>Your ACT is on the low end of average for Colby College, so you should probably consider retaking it, especially since you’re still only a junior. Your GPA is good, keep it that way if you can. Actually, if you’re 4.00, shouldn’t you be at the very top? Also, if you’re taking the most rigorous classes available, that’ll increase your chances.</p>

<p>I’m not sure about your ECs though.</p>

<p>But yeah, you have a chance of getting in. It’s just not over 50%, and it’s still too early to really tell.</p>

<p>If you like Colby, look at Bates, which is SAT/ACT optional. Or consider taking the SAT to see you perform better on it - for some kids, it makes a significant difference.</p>
