2 Internships- 1 in the field of Oncology at GT university
another at this doctor's office for sports medicine

Intended majors: pre-mede, business

Schools im thinking about applying to: Johns Hopkins, UPenn, Yale, Harvard, WashU, Duke, Columbia, Maryland

Johns Hopkins - you have a pretty good shot, I would say. Listing your ECs better (less cluttered) would help in chancing; likewise, you forgot or didn’t do the SAT subject tests?
High match/low reach.
UPenn: If you apply ED, you have a very good shot. ED: low reach, RD: mid reach
Yale: It’s a high reach for anyone and everyone.
Harvard: It’s a high reach for anyone and everyone.
Wash U: You have statistics that fall in their range, so maybe high match?
Duke: ED you have a great shot (over fifty percent). But if you apply to Duke ED you can’t do UPenn ED, and vice versa.
Columbia: It’s a high reach for anyone and everyone.
Maryland: In, definitely.

Lots of leadership, key club is always good. The internships should help to set you apart from most kids.
Johns Hopkins: ~40%
UPenn: ~30%
Yale: Probably the same as most people… ~15%
Harvard: High reach like Yale ~15%. Maybe do early action this year and those odds will increase
Wash U: ~60%. A bunch of kids got in from my school this year who had about the same/worse resumes
Duke: Don’t know a ton about Duke, you’ve probably got a decent shot there ~40%
Columbia: Ivy league school’s are crapshoots… ~15%
Maryland: Above and beyond the requirements. Probably a safety. ~95%

Apply to Duke or Penn or Johns Hopkins or WUSTL ED and you’ll probably get in. The ivies aren’t going to happen with your total lack of good ECs, sorry.

anonymous- what do you define as “good” EC? I believe its ur opinion. Not all people have the same EC’s and that is what makes people unique. I could have written every single EC about myself to look better but i wrote the ones that mattered the most to me. In the end I believe its about the passion you exhibit in the few EC’s you do.
