can you chance me for Stanford, U Chicago, Columbia, Berkeley, and UCLA? I'll chance you back!

Continue the great work! You really have a well rounded application that would make you a competitive candidate at any school. As long as you write a strong essay, I would say that you have a pretty good chance

You have great chances at getting into all of those schools! But you’re extracurriculars revolve around the arts. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but unless you have won multiple competitions or awards, colleges could care less. I know an admissions officer who told me to be well rounded in arts and sports, more importantly sports, but for clubs, focus on a subject with clubs. I sort-of did with medicine, Latin, and science, but you did a great job with the arts, which I highly admire. But Stanford and Columbia, Stanford especially, it can be a toss-up on whether you’ll be accepted or not. And that is for everyone! I knew a girl on 3 varsity sports, class president, 4.6 GPA, Rejected from Stanford and Accepted to Harvard. Another Girl I know somehow got into Stanford with a 3.7 (W). Oh, and one last thing! If you are applying to Stanford and have the theatrical experience as stated, you may want to apply early decision and have an arts supplement. Good Luck& cheers! Chance back?

You pretty much totally have everything going for you(:

Stanford - kind of a crapshoot. but I’d say super strong chance and definitely worth it. Maybe even to apply early? You’re out of state + URM + stats =
U Chicago - Match
Columbia - Another Match stats wise. Ivies are cuckoo bananas though I’d consider applying early
Berkeley - Match
UCLA - Stats wise a Match but OOS soooooo we’ll juts have to see

My suggestion is look into doing volunteer work. But only something that relates to your intended major , or your other interests/accomplishments. It can never hurt. As long as it fits comfortably with the rest of your ECs it shouldn’t look like forced well rounded-ness. And well it shouldn’t be forced…because it’s volunteering Make sure you also talk about what you’re passionate about somewhere in your application because you have pretty standard ECs. The fine arts for example would be something to emphasize. And

Yes, you have the stats. But are your essays good — not only in terms of writing ability, but the ability to set yourself apart?

I can’t chance you based off of that information, nor can anyone else. I can say, however, that statistically speaking, you have put yourself in a good position. But there are so many other factors that make this difficult.

My college counselor (used to be an admissions officer and has been a conselor for 12 years) has told me that I have some of the best writing he’s ever seen and they may be the funniest he’s read. I know how slim my chances are so I made them completely “me” and I think they’ll stand out! (at least I hope!)
Thanks for chancing me :)

You have solid stats dude. Above average stats for GPA, SAT I, and SAT II. If you are going to major in the Art/Social Science/Language side, you’ll have a pretty good chance at this. But for Stanford and Ivies and Berkeley, you need something to stand out like a fire in a hay field.

Your extracurriculars and scores look good. I think you’re definitely qualified for all the schools you want to get chanced for. Your URM status may also help. I think you have a good chance of getting into Berkley and UCLA, but the other three schools are kind of a crap shoot for anyone.
