I am an out of state student who resides in nebraska

UW GPA: 3.42
ACT: 27 (retaking in september)
EC: Freshman Football, latin club, job at subway, 80 community service hours at the boys and girls club, participated in the big brother program, and National Honors society
I will have taken 7 overall AP classes and many honors classes

I am also biracial if that has any impact. (white/indian/black)

Since your out of state idk if the top 10% rule applies for you, but you pretty much have to be an academic admit to get in. So i’d just go online and find out the scores you’ll need tto get in

Thank you for responding. I am not in the 10%, but i am in the top 25%. I probably should have said that and does A&M prefer the ACT or SAT?

they are ranked in the top quarter of their graduating class, and
achieve a combined SAT Math and SAT Critical Reading score of at least 1300 with a test score of at least 600 in each of these components; or achieve a composite ACT score of at least 30 with a test score of at least 27 in ACT Math and ACT English. Students must take the writing component of the SAT and/or ACT in order for the test score to be considered

I copied that directly from their website… so thats what you’ll need. and it wont matter if you take the sat or the act either is good, but they only take the best 1 day test

Out of state students also have to be mindful to have what is the minimum required by State of Texas High School courses to apply
[Minimum Required Coursework](http://admissions.tamu.edu/freshmen/gettingin/requiredHSCourses/courses.aspx)
