<p>Although I am applying to some schools that are slightly harder to get in to than BU (Michigan and Chapel Hill and maybe Dartmouth, just for kicks) BU has always been top choice. I’ve expressed a ton of interest in the school. Please look more in depth to my class rigor and EC’s instead of just my GPA.</p>

Sophomore Year: AP Government, Honors English, Algebra 2, Biology, Honors French 4, Creative Writing, Photo 1
Junior Year: AP World History, AP Lang, AP Psych, Precalc (very hard at my school), Chemistry, Photo 2, Latin 1
Senior Year: AP Lit, AP Human Geography, AP Photo, Honors Calc, a research class to write a 20 page paper, and an internship (explained below)</p>
<p>School Related EC’s-
-Humanities and Arts program: slightly more rigorous program at my school for humanities kids. major project: a 20 page research paper.
-Senior Year internship: 150 hours per semester at a very well known graphic design/creative marketing firm (clients include the washington wizards, IMAX, ritz carlton, etc)
-Summer Internship (before senior year): at a government relations firm on capitol hill in DC. very very good internship, i doresearch and write ups/reports that are sent directly to clients. i will get a very good recommendation from my boss
-BU Summer Challenge Program (before junior year): a 2 week program at BU, I took international politics and mass communication. </p>
<p>Other EC’s-
-over 250 hours of community service
-competitive hip hop dance company freshman and sophomore years
-school cross country team junior and senior years
-running club junior and senior years (leadership position)
-many leadership positions in my youth group, bbyo
-key club
-social clubs at school (bbq club, rollerblading club, etc)</p>
<p>Extra things going for me for BU:
-legacy (my dad went there)
-summer challenge program (lived at BU for 2 weeks)
-toured the school and COM
-i went to a COM alumni event in DC and met the current dean of COM, former dean and current PR/advertising professor at COM, and the woman who runs the COM washington, dc internship program. i had great, long conversations with all of them. they were very impressed by what i have done so far. they said that when i apply, they will all email the admissions office. this will give me a huge leg up!</p>
<p>i will get very good teacher and counselor recommendations.</p>
