Hey fellow CC members.

This year I'm going to be a sophomore and I guess I kinda want to know my chances for going into a ivy league. I know it's really YOUNG to nswer these questions. But I guess I love to be over prepared than under.

So my freshman year:
Practice PSAT (I took it out of a Barron book):
M:32
CR: 28
W: 24 (WHICH IS SUPER LOUSY-in my opinion, because I know I can do better!)

My gpa is 4.333 (w) and 3.83 (uw)
My rank is 13th out of 300-ish?

I took ALL advanced classes my school offered for my grade level.

During the summer I took a BB practice test and got a 2040.

My few EC are:
-Academic Decathalon
-Math Club (President)
-Book Club

That's it...

LOOK, I know Im too young to know my career or my major. Okay? I don't care. But I just want to know am I on the right track? Also I need workbooks with ways to increase my SAT score (Especially writing and critical reading). Advices would be great (: Thanks you!

Hey. I don’t care if you are my little sister. But I just want to say your thing looks great.

And to the rest of CC, don’t judge just because she only completed her freshman year. Okay? She’s just ahead of the game and wants to be overprepared.

k. thanks.

OH CRAP. I am so sorry guys. I posted my raw score instead of my converted score D:

My score are:
M: 68
CR: 56
W: 57

SORRY GUYS!

Well you definitely seem to be on the right track. Some of the things I noticed is your EC, seem to be only academic. Do you play an instrument or sports? Try to take on some leadership positions, and really commit and put alot of effort into your EC. Also try to standout in class, so your Teachers can give you amazing recs. GOOD LUCK!

Yes. Sadly I don’t really play a sport. However I do play piano, violin, and a bit of the flute. But it’s kinda only for home. Not for school… you know? It’s because my school has the crummiest, most ignorant band people and i just quit…

Your scores are promising they’ll go up a bunch from more high school classes.
If your school band is awful look around your area for a community band to join.
Getting more involved will definitely improve your chances. The ec’s are what separate the men from the boys so to speak. Volunteer work looks good. Depth is what they look for.
Try Freerice to improve vocab, it’s really fun and doesn’t feel like studying and you can learn some good words on it. Sparknotes has a really good guide for improving scores.
And don’t forget to have fun in high school!
