I normally dislike responding to “chance me” threads. You have nice board scores and a decent GPA but you have not mentioned anything at all about your ECs which are very important in admission to Cornell and other top schools. When you say “decent, nothing awesome” beware… you don’t want to project that your spare time and ECs was nothing special or that will be how you are judged. Now, if you would like to tell us about your ECs maybe we could give you some feedback about how they could be viewed as being important in your projected major. The idea is to turn things around and if there is a correlation of how these ECs relate to a major in engineering than that would be a benefit. If there is no correlation at all than use the ECs to show how multi dimentional you are with a very strong science and math background. I just really have a thing about young people saying nothing special. If you think you have “nothing special” than why would you be admitted?

Good luck!! Think of yourself as being a good candidate…project that image.
