thank you!

You’re in the interquartile range of admitted students with those stats. SAT and SAT 2s are weak so bump those all up to 700’s in all the categories and I’d say you’re a solid match if you can get a 2100 SAT and 2 700+ SAT 2s. Your unweighted GPA is great. Good job and good luck.

okay! thank you so much! how important are the sat II scores to admission officers?

Match/Low Reach. Don’t submit ACT score.

And to answer your question in post #3: very important.

UCLA does not concentrate on sat scores, the admissions officers focus more on gpas.

I’d say match.

^and that’s a lie. UCLA gives a comprehensive view of all their students.

@Albama do you realize how many latinos and african americans on this campus have <1500 SAT score and lower than a 3.6 gpa? a lot. obviously SAT and gpa isnt everything about the application.

^I never said they were everything in an application… I merely said that SAT scores were very important, as shown in score/GPA distributions of accepted students.

And for every one person who got in with a 3.6 GPA/<1500 SAT, I’m sure there were at least 5 people who got in with a 4.0 WGPA, 2000+ SAT.

The uc system places less emphasis on the sat relative to privates, HYPSM.
