<p>very competitive public high school in southeastern ct</p>

<p>I have a 3.6 GPA, my school doesnt weight GPA
i am 31 out of about 300 students</p>

composite 33</p>

<p>AP Bio: 4
APUSH: 5
AP English: 4
will take AP Gov and AP Calc AB senior year
mostly honors classes besides that</p>

<p>ECs:
1st chair saxophonist in concert band
also a part of Thames Valley Music School Wind Symphony (musicians selected by band directors to play with other teens from the area)
Club president of Habitat for Humanity at our school
Medicine Club (shadows med. professions and holds fundraisers)
Swimming and Diving team
Rowing team
Junior Volunteer at Backus Hospital (selective program that includes and app/interview process)</p>

<p>Work History:
Lifeguard at high school pool, year round
Swimming instructor, year round</p>

<p>I received my school's French award 2 years in a row, and I also received the AP Scholar award</p>

<p>Very solid chances at GWU and BU. I am not sure about NYU. I hope some others comment. Both GW and BU are great schools. My d goes to GW and loves it. We toured BU and it is also a fantastic school. I am partial to GW because of the opportunity to go to school in DC and experience something really special. Good Luck!!</p>

<p>Where to go? All 3 urban schools. Depends on what you wish to study and which school you liked the best. My "S did not NOT get hardly any fin. aid at NYU compared to GW - he’s a soph at GW.</p>

<p>how would you guys consider BU NYU and GWU in terms of safety/target/reach… I was originally considering GWU and NYU as reaches for me, should I go for a different school that might be more of a reach?</p>
