NONETHELESS, thankyou for taking the time out of your day to read this, and any response/advice will be greatly appreciated. <3

** 1 Last Note: Is it harder to get into these schools as an Engineering Major than for say, a Bio major? Also, I have not taken the 3rd year of Spanish, which I guess is recommended. So.. Should I take that online? Or just let it be. Thanks again!

Also… Forgot to post my Senior Schedule:

 1. AVID Tutor
 2. AP Psychology
 3. AP Calculus BC
 4. AP Government
 5. AP Biology
 6. AP Literature

definitely in. if i got in with 1700s sats, no special awards/recognition, subpar below average gpa, some community service hours, and a decent personal statement, then you can too

i usually dont give “chances” with the get in or stuff , but you are an exception!

A piece of advice though [here comes the rambling ;)] make sure you make everything else that is not academic based REALLY stand out. what i mean is your E.C’s, the awards, the essays, things like that should really be eye boggling and like “OMG he/she did this! Wow!” Umm from my own perspective and experience, i spent a huge amount of time on my essays, and then spent an enormous amount of time deciding my E.C’s [i literally just daydreamed in class about which E.C. to put [as you get only 5 slots].

oh and E.C. and volunteering are two DIFFERENT sections, so make sure you have a lot of volunteering hours and some back up E.C.'s because those will make you stand out.
The basic rule i “followed” was: “I don’t want to go to UCSD. I want UCSD to come to me” and i am now a freshman at UC Merced…

so the basic point Im trying to make is read read read, edit eddit edit, save save save, and edit edit edit, again and again. In fact go to the most hardest and evilest English teacher at your school [if your school has one] and ask them to read it for you and give it some tune ups… Honestly, these English teachers have like magical hands, be sure to use them … for writing and editing.

Good Luck and sry for the rambling, it’s a habit… i have a couple of more rambling advice i give to other "Chance me " people. if you want them, PM me and It will be on your way :)

[Oh and Im just joking. I am a Freshman at ERC]

My GPA was lower than yours [i took more AP classes] and my SAT was higher than yours [by about 30-+40 points] and i got in . I say you have an amazingly awesome shot, provided you follow up with E.C’s etc.
