My common app essay is really good, and on an unusual topic: being a jew in a catholic school. it is very well written.

THANK YOU!

can anyone help me out?! :)

that’s interesting you are a jew at a catholic school but your application kind of gives off the vibe that your parents paid for you to get a lot of opportunities like the immersion programs and even catholic school. not to detract from your application, but you seem like just another. which in one sense is a good thing, i think you have a good chance, you just don’t seem special or extraordinary. You are as good as everyone else who is applying. You are impressive, don’t be discouraged.

Your math score is really low for an unhooked kid at D, and that impression is confirmed by your Chem score and not overcome by having received no 5s on APs. None of that speaks well for the rigor of your school. I’d suggest doing some intensive prep and taking it again, in hopes of at least breaking 700.

You will need great recs. Too bad you can’t be a recruited hockey player. Good luck.
